Thinking outloud

I was recently at my PCP's office.  I had an appt at 3:45; I checked in by 3:45, but doctor did not come in until 4:30.  So, there I was, at a doctor's office, my attention on my health... thought occured:
- how can we leverage this into constructive time?
- instead of magazines, should there be an interactive activity where patient gets useful information?

I have seen offices with TV with health channel...  does anyone know what impact this types of program has had in the past?

What am I thinking of?  May be patient can look at their data (labs etc) and see what it means (diabetes control, hypertension control etc... may be plotted in a graph).  It may show what "screening" they should be having at this stage.  May be we can incorporate patient education sheet with them so they can print them.

This could actually be a business venture.  Thoughts? Comments?
